Happy Dia de los Muertos

Photo: What are everyone's Halloween plans? I have an awesome day ahead - cruising around incomparable San Francisco with two men I love, checking out the freak show... I mean, parade of humanity - and doing a little Cold Moon research on the side. Hope everyone has a wonderful, archetypal day!!!

November 1st is the Day of the Dead.

Remember to honor your ancestors in some way. Light a candle, say a prayer, set out flowers, or prepare a meal in remembrance. Today is supposed to be the day when the veil between our world and theirs is the thinnest. In Guatemala, people go to the cemetery with offerings of food, flowers, and candles. They sing, dance, and celebrate as if deceased family members are still with them. Huge round kites are flown with messages for the departed tied to the tail in the hopes they will reach those who have crossed over.

CNN posted a listing of 10 most famous scenic cemeteries.
